The Millard South Wrestling team
competed in the 23 Annual Huskerland Wrestling
Tournament April 12 & 13, 2008. 10 out of 13
wrestlers placed in the tournament. Five wrestlers
earned the Champion of Champions honor by not only
winning their bracket, they also beating the
champion of the bracket next to theirs. Champion of
Champions victories earned the team an extra 5 team
points. Everyone that medaled contributed points
towards the team total points scored. The Patriots
scored 16 points in the final round to come from
behind and win the class B team title by 2 points.
Being recognized as a Champion of Champions is a
great honor! Wrestle that when 4 or more Champion of
Champions titles are classified as Mat Masters.
